Oct 30 (Reuters) - Ethanol producer VeraSun Energy Corp VSE.N said its total operating capacity will go up to about 560 million gallons per year (MMGY) with the opening of its fifth plant near Albion, Nebraska.

The plant, one of three biorefineries VeraSun purchased from ASAlliances Biofuels LLC in August, is expected to produce about 110 MMGY, the company said in a statement.

The plant will annually process about 39 million bushels of corn and produce about 350,000 tons of distillers grains for livestock feed, it said. (Reporting by Bijoy Koyitty in Bangalore)
