Embarq raises quarterly dividend; to buy back $500 mln of shares

Jan 9 (Reuters) - Embarq Corp EQ.N said it raised quarterly dividend by 10 percent and authorized a $500 million share repurchase program.

The dividend of 68.75 cents will be paid on Mar. 31 to stockholders of record Mar 10, the U.S. phone company said in a statement. (Reporting by Biswarup Gooptu in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
