QUITO May 22 (Reuters) - OPEC Secretary-General Abdullah al-Badri said he was "puzzled" by what is causing rapid increases in the price of oil, which topped $135 a barrel on Thursday.

Speaking in Ecuador, Badri earlier said supply and demand fundamentals were not driving prices. (Reporting by Alonso Soto; Writing by Saul Hudson)
