NEW YORK May 30 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened higher on Friday, with the market poised to round out the month on a positive note after computer maker Dell Inc (DELL.O) posted stronger-than-expected earnings and a key measure of inflation moderated.

The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was up 9.04 points, or 0.07 percent, at 12,655.26. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was up 2.76 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,401.02. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC was up 5.33 points, or 0.21 percent, at 2,513.65. (Editing by Kenneth Barry)
