Ericsson to make 75 mln euro gain from Symbian sale
STOCKHOLM |
STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Telecom equipment maker Ericsson (ERICb.ST) said on Tuesday it would make a capital gain of 75 million euros (59.3 million pounds) from the sale to Nokia (NOK1V.HE) of its stake in software firm Symbian.
Ericsson will get 132 million euros for its 15.6 percent stake in Symbian, Ericsson spokesman Tobias Gyhlenius said.
"We will make a capital gain of around 75 million euros," he said.
The deal is subject to approval from competition authorities and Gyhlenius said Ericsson reckoned on booking the gain in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
