AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Arsenal's second-string side drew 1-1 with Sevilla on Saturday to ensure the London club won the Amsterdam Tournament for the third time in four years.

Mexican youngster Carlos Vela put Arsenal ahead after three minutes with an angled shot after winning the ball and using his strength to break into the area from the left flank.

Sevilla had lots of possession but were denied by Lukasz Fabianski, who was only beaten eight minutes from time when Jesus Navas set up Uruguayan Ernesto Chevanton to equalise.

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger had said on Friday, after a 3-2 win over hosts Ajax, that he would rest his first team on Saturday ahead of next week's Champions League qualifier.

His side play on Dutch soil again when they face former England manager Steve McClaren's Twente Enschede in a third qualifying round, first leg match in Arnhem on Wednesday.

Arsenal finished top with eight points -- three for a win, one for a draw and a point for each goal scored -- ahead of Inter Milan with five points after Saturday's 1-0 win over Ajax.

Adriano scored after four minutes for Jose Mourinho's team who were too strong for the Amsterdam side after coach Marco van Basten rested nine of the 11 players that started on Friday.

Inter drew 0-0 with Sevilla in Friday's other match.
