RPS buys Mountainheath for up to 1.9 mln pounds

Sept 19 (Reuters) - British energy consultancy RPS Group Plc (RPS.L) has bought specialist laboratory company Mountainheath Services Ltd for up to 1.9 million pounds in cash to complement its laboratories in the UK and the Netherlands.

The company, which advises energy firms on securing planning permission for their projects, said on Friday it had paid 1.2 million pounds for the acquisition from Mountainheath's three directors.

It will pay a further 0.35 million pounds on each of the first and second anniversaries of the deal if certain operational conditions are met, it said. (Reporting by Usman Merchant in Bangalore, editing by Will Waterman)
