Bang & Olufsen sees FY loss on weak pre-Xmas sales

COPENHAGEN Dec 19 (Reuters) - Danish luxury stereo and television maker Bang & Olufsen BOb.CO forecast on Friday a pretax loss in its 2008/2009 financial year as sales in its peak months of November and December did not meet expectations. B&O forecast a loss of between 260 million and 380 million Danish crowns ($50.18-$73.34 million) on sales of between 3.1 and 3.3 billion.

Shares in the company fell 10 percent in early trade to 77 crowns, while the Copenhagen exchange top-20 index was down 1 percent.
