Russia proposes summit of EU gas importers

MOSCOW Jan 14 (Reuters) - Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev proposed on Wednesday to hold a summit of European Union's importers of Russian gas in Moscow on January 17 to discuss the situation with Russian gas supplies via Ukraine.
The Kremlin's press-service said Russia was also proposing to invite Ukraine to participate in the summit. (Reporting by Denis Dyomkin, writing by Dmitry Zhdannikov; editing by Conor Sweeney)
