NEW YORK Jan 28 (Reuters) - Chesapeake Energy Corp (CHK.N) on Wednesday sold $1 billion in six-year notes, according to IFR.

The 9.50 percent notes were priced at 95.071 to yield 10.625 percent, or 875 basis points over comparable U.S. Treasuries, said IFR, a Thomson Reuters service.

Deutsche Bank, Banc of America Securities, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo were the joint book managers on the sale.
