M.Stanley picks new Germany chief from own ranks
FRANKFURT |
FRANKFURT Feb 12 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley (MS.N) has appointed Dirk Notheis as its head of its business in Germany and Austria with immediate effect, the U.S. bank said on Thursday.
Notheis, 40, takes up the post left vacant since early 2008 by the departure of Dagmar Kollmann.
Supervisory board chairman Lutz Raettig had been running the German business over the last year.
Notheis has been with the bank since 1999 and joined its board in 2006. He had been running Morgan Stanley's investment banking operations in Germany since 2005, along with colleague Carsten Dentler.
Dentler has been named chairman, investment banking for Germany and Austria and will look after key customers and new business development, Morgan Stanley said in a statement.
Morgan Stanley AG's investment banking business in Germany and Austria will be run by co-heads Christian Zorn and Johannes Groeller, the statement said. (Reporting by Jonathan Gould; Editing by David Holmes)
