TOKYO, March 25 (Reuters) - Japanese copper smelters will likely have to continue copper production curbs from April as demand for the metal has not recovered, Japan Mining Industry Association Chairman Nobuyoshi Soma said on Wednesday.

Japan's smelters have cut production by about 10 percent since the start of the year, as manufacturers including automakers slash output in the face of tumbling demand. (Reporting by Miho Yoshikawa)
