BOSTON, April 24 (Reuters) - An aircraft flying from New York to Israel with 206 people on board was diverted to Boston on Friday after a passenger apparently tried to break into the cockpit, Boston media reported.

Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) flight 86 landed at Logan International airport just after 10 p.m. after the passenger was subdued by fellow travellers, Boston's WCVB-TV reported on its website.

The plane was parked in an isolated area of the airport and authorities had boarded the plane, said WCVB, an ABC News affiliate. Authorities at Logan airport could not immediately confirm the report. (Reporting by Jason Szep; editing by Todd Eastham)
