Swedbank CEO says no need for fresh capital

VISBY, Sweden, June 30 (Reuters) - Swedbank's (SWEDa.ST) top executive said on Tuesday the Swedish bank was not in need of new capital despite mounting losses in the Baltic region where it has extended billions of euros of loans. Asked if the bank saw a need to raise new capital, Swedbank Chief Executive Michael Wolf told journalists:
"No, we are well capitalised," he said on the sidelines of a conference in Visby, on the Baltic isle of Gotland.
