SAO PAULO Oct 23 (Reuters) - Brazilian oil giant Petrobras (PETR4.SA)(PBR.N) on Friday launched $2.5 billion of 2020 bonds and $1.5 billion of 2040 bonds, in what might be the largest ever sale of corporate debt by a Brazilian company, sources told Reuters.

Rio de Janeiro-based Petrobras is offering the 2020 bonds at a yield of 5.875 percent and the 2040 securities at a yield of 7 percent, said the people, who declined to be quoted by name because the transaction hasn't been concluded.
