(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 2:30 p.m. British time (1430 GMT) on Monday.
KIRKUK - A car bomb exploded in a crowded marketplace, killing six and wounding six others in northern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad.
BAGHDAD - A bomb planted under a car parked near an Iraqi army checkpoint exploded, killing two soldiers and wounding six civilians in Baghdad's Mansour District, police said.
BAGHDAD - Gunmen wearing military uniforms shot dead at least 12 men in a pre-dawn attack in a village on the western outskirts of Baghdad, villagers and police said.
MOSUL - A roadside bomb wounded three children on Sunday in a small town near Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
MOSUL - A roadside bomb wounded two civilians in western Mosul on Sunday, police said.
MOSUL - A hand grenade exploded, killing one civilian in central Mosul, on Sunday, police said.
