LONDON Nov 26 (Reuters) - Share trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE.L) resumed at 1400 GMT on Thursday, almost three-and-a-half hours after a technical glitch halted trading.

At 1405 GMT, the FTSE 100 .FTSE was down 1.9 percent at 5,265.65 points, while the FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 fell 2.1 percent to 1,000.73 points.

Technical difficulties at 1038 GMT had caused all order-driven securities on the exchange to be placed in an auction call period, the bourse operator said earlier.

In September last year the LSE suffered its worst systems failure in eight years, causing the share market to suspend trading for about seven hours and infuriating its users.
