MEXICO CITY Dec 9 (Reuters) - The nominee to be the next head of Mexico's central bank said he did not see inflationary pressures as being a problem in the country's economy in the first half of next year.

"We need to watch it very closely but I would not see it as an imminent issue for at least the first half of the year," Agustin Carstens told Mexico's Radio Formula. (Reporting by Miguel Angel Gutierrez, writing by William Schomberg)
