JOMHURI-E ESLAMI

- Central Bank of Iran announced that all banknotes with scribbling on them will be invalid from next Iranian week (starting on Saturday).

ETEMAD

- Despite government announcement on self-sufficiency in wheat production, Iran imported four million tons of wheat for around $1 billion in the past eight months.

- Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Iran is prepared to swap nuclear fuel with the West in Turkey.
