Poland unlikely to ask refiners for dividends

WARSAW Jan 7 (Reuters) - Poland's treasury is unlikely to ask two refiners PKN Orlen PKNA.WA and Lotos LTOS.WA to pay dividends out of their 2009 profits, Deputy Treasury Minister Mikolaj Budzanowski said on Thursday.

"I don't see any reasons today for dividends to be paid by the fuel companies (refiners). They need funds for growth," Budzanowski told reporters. (Reporting by Pawel Bernat, writing by Patryk Wasilewski)
