A400M buyer nations eye deal with EADS this week
PARIS |
PARIS Feb 1 (Reuters) - The countries buying the Airbus A400M military transport aircraft hope to reach an agreement with aerospace and defence group EADS (EAD.PA) on the programme by the end of this week, French defence minister Herve Morin said.
"Talks are ongoing but I feel that the nations and EADS are moving closer together rather than further apart today," Morin told a press conference on Monday.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy are likely to discuss the matter at a Franco-German summit in Paris on Thursday, Morin added. (Reporting by Elizabeth Pineau; Writing by James Regan)
