CAPE TOWN Feb 1 (Reuters) - The spot price of uranium, a vital ingredient for a resurgent nuclear industry, is seen at between $40 and $60 per pound over the next two years, a TradeTech analyst said on Monday.

"Our projection bounces around in this region of about $40 to $60 dollars a pound over the next two years," Gene Clark, chief executive of TradeTech told the Africa mining indaba in Cape Town.

"We wind up with the price rebounding possibly to above $80 a pound by early 2011, about the earliest we would expect that to happen," Clark said of possible supply disruptions. (Reporting by Wendell Roelf)
