6.1 quake jolts northern Philippines, no damage

MANILA, March 2 (Reuters) - An earthquake measuring 6.1 struck the Philippines' northernmost region on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage, the state seismology agency said.

The quake was felt in Cagayan and Isabela provinces around 10:51 a.m. [0251 GMT], an official at the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. (Reporting by Manny Mogato; Editing by Rosemarie Francisco and Sanjeev Miglani)
