US Sen Dodd hopes for financial reform bill soon

WASHINGTON, March 9 | Tue Mar 9, 2010 7:58pm GMT

WASHINGTON, March 9 (Reuters) - Christopher Dodd, the chief negotiator for the Democrats on financial regulation reform in the U.S. Senate, said on Tuesday he hopes to have revised legislation "in the coming few days."

With senators in disagreement on key points of a bill being discussed for months, Dodd told reporters at the Capitol:

"We're not there yet. There's no agreement ... I'm still hopeful, but I can tell you very candidly that it's also delicate. This thing could trip easily." (Reporting by Kevin Drawbaugh)
