- The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System said it could undertake the Laiban dam project jointly with Manila Water (MWC.PS) and Metro Pacific Investment's (MPI.PS) Maynilad Water Services after talks with food and beverage conglomerate San Miguel Corp (SMC.PS) fizzled out. (ALL PAPERS)
- Local gambling firm Pacific Online Systems Corp said its profits more than doubled in 2009 to 263 million pesos ($5.8 million) from 130 million pesos in the previous year on the back of record sales of lottery tickets. (PHILIPPINE DAILY INQUIRER, THE PHILIPPINE STAR)

- National carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL.PS) said its
acquisition of two new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft has paved the
way for the resumption of service of its Brisbane, Australia,

- First Philippine Holdings (FPH.PS) unit First Philec
Solar Corp, a manufacturer of solar wafers, said it is aiming
for an initial public offering as part of its medium-term plan.
