LONDON (Reuters) - The Labour Party has cut the Conservatives' lead to just three points ahead of a May 6 election and could remain the largest party in parliament, a poll showed.

A Populus poll for Wednesday's Times newspaper put the Conservatives on 36 percent of the vote, down three points from last week, and Labour on 33 percent, up one point.

The Liberal Democrats were unchanged on 21 percent.

If the projections were repeated uniformly across the country, Labour would be the largest party in a 650-seat parliament, pointing towards a potential coalition with the Liberal Democrats, the paper said on its website.
