UPDATE 1-Hain Celestial to name two Icahn nominees to board

* Icahn to support Hain's director slate

July 7 (Reuters) - Hain Celestial Group Inc (HAIN.O) said it agreed to appoint two directors affiliated to Carl Icahn to the company's board in exchange for the billionaire investor supporting the company's director slate at its annual meeting.

In May, the natural and organic products company's stock rose after Icahn disclosed that he controlled an 11.9 percent stake in the company.

Hain said it has temporarily increased the number of seats on the board from ten to twelve to appoint Icahn nominees Brett Icahn and David Schechter. The director count will go back to 10 following the annual meeting, it said.
