Templeton's Mobius sees still value in emerging markets
BANGKOK |
BANGKOK Aug 19 (Reuters) - Templeton Asset Management's Mark Mobius said on Thursday he saw value in emerging market valuations, even though current asset prices were not as cheap as previously.
Mobius, a prominent emerging markets fund manager, said there was still opportunities and in Thailand and liked energy giant PTT PTT.BK, Kasikornbank KBAN.BK, and Siam Cement SCC.BK, the country's biggest industrial conglomerate.
He said he also favoured BEC World BEC.BK, and property developer Land & Houses LH.BK.
Mobius had earlier said he had increased investment in Thailand's stock market .SETI over the past 12 months.
