LONDON |
LONDON (Reuters) - Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" shot to the top of the UK singles chart Sunday, securing the British singer-songwriter his second number one hit.
Dynamite, which peaked at number 2 in the United States and Canada, follows Cruz's previous number one hit "Break Your Heart," the Official Charts Company said.
Vocalist Katy B scores her first Top 10 hit with "Katy On A Mission," coming in at number five, while The Killers front man Brandon Flowers is the third new entry in the Top 10 with his debut solo "Crossfire," at number eight.
In the albums chart, Eminem's "Recovery" reclaims the number one spot, Plan B moves up to second place and Iron Maiden drops two places to number three.
British rock band the Klaxons have the only new entry in the albums chart top 10 this week. "Surfing The Void," the group's second studio album, takes tenth place. The Klaxons' debut album "Myths of the Near Future" won the Mercury Music Prize in 2007.
