MACQUARIE SECURITIES GROUP
The institutional equities arm of Macquarie Group (MQG.AX) appointed Daryl Bowden as head of sales trading for Europe. He was most recently joint CEO Europe and Asia with ICAP Equities.
SCHRODERS
The asset management company appointed Mark Brandreth as co-head of research of the quantitative equity products global equities team based in London. Brandreth was most recently with BlackRock Inc (BLK.N) as a managing director in scientific active equities.
UNION BANCAIRE PRIVEE
The asset management arm of Union Bancaire Privee hired Lawrence Lo as chief executive officer and head of sales for Asia ex-Japan based in Hong Kong. He also becomes a member of the executive committee of UBP Asset Management. Lo was previously CEO of BSI Generali Asia Ltd.
RELIGARE CAPITAL MARKETS
India's Religare Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of financial services group Religare Enterprises (RELG.BO), appointed Nalin Nayyar as head of India investment banking. Nayyar joins Religare from Citigroup (C.N), where he was a managing director in the investment banking division.
COLLINS STEWART WEALTH MANAGEMENT The asset management unit of Collins Stewart Plc CLST.L hired Sean Millensted to join its intermediary sales team with a focus on independent financial advisers. Millensted joins from Zurich Intermediary Group, the distribution arm of Zurich's UK Life Business.
ARMAJARO ASSET MANAGEMENT
The firm promoted Harry Morley as chief executive officer. Morley had been Armajaro's group finance director since 2008. He succeeds Richard Gower, who becomes chairman of the company.
RCM
The unit of Allianz Global Investors hired Carlos de Leon as an analyst and portfolio manager in their global emerging markets team based in London. Leon joins from Harbert Management Corp, where he was an analyst for their emerging markets absolute return fund.
GATEMORE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
The boutique investment consultancy appointed Bella Edmunds as a senior analyst in its London office. Edmunds joins from JLT Actuaries & Consultants.
DELOITTE FINANCIAL ADVISORY SERVICES
The firm appointed Alan Sorcher as the new leader of the Deloitte anti-money laundering strategic leadership group based in Washington D.C. on Monday. Sorcher previously served as senior advisor at the U.S. Department of Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION The U.S. regulator said Brian Breheny, the deputy director for legal and regulatory policy in the division of corporation finance, will leave the agency after more than seven years of public service on Monday. Prior to joining the SEC staff, Breheny worked as an associate in the New York and London offices of law firm Clifford Chance US LLP.
AMUNDI
The combination of the asset management arms of Credit Agricole and Societe Generale, formed in January 2010, appointed Peter Lindgren as deputy general manager at Amundi Nordic Countries on July 26. Lindgren had been managing director of alternative sales at Credit Suisse Asset Management from 2007 to 2008.
