DUBLIN, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Ireland's government has not yet decided what to do with Anglo Irish Bank [ANGIB.UL] and is considering two options with the European Commission, a government source said on Thursday.

"We have not yet come to a decision. There are two options; one is a gradual wind-down over a long period of years, longer than five years, and the other is a split of the bank into 'good' and 'bad parts," the source told Reuters. "It's a finely judged thing."

Local newspapers reported on Thursday that Ireland's government favoured a gradual wind-down of the nationalised lender. [ID:nLDE68107D]
