MOSCOW, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Russian power company OGK-6 OGK6.MM OGKF.RTS, controlled by Gazprom (GAZP.MM), said on Thursday its first-half 2010 net profit fell by 70 percent on the back of rising costs.

The company said its net profit for January through April period fell to 799.9 million roubles ($26.06 million) from 2.67 billion roubles in the year-earlier period as operating costs increased by 25 percent due to higher fuel prices.

Earnings before interests, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) almost halved to 2.15 billion roubles.
