Fitch to review Ireland's ratings based on IMF aid

NEW YORK | Thu Nov 18, 2010 4:20pm GMT

NEW YORK Nov 18 (Reuters) - Fitch said on Thursday it will review Ireland's credit ratings in the light of any package agreed with the International Monetary Fund and the European Union.

The agency, which rates Ireland at A-plus with a negative outlook, said the review will focus on the impact that such possible financial assistance would have on the ability of the country and its banks to regain access to market funding at an affordable cost.
