UNITED NATIONS, March 17 A draft U.N. Security Council resolution to be put to a vote on Thursday calls for freezing the assets of the Libyan National Oil Corp. and the central bank because of links to leader Muammar Gaddafi.
The resolution, a copy of which was obtained by Reuters, is expected to voted upon by the 15-nation Security Council at around 6:00 p.m. (2200 GMT). It would also authorize a no-fly zone and other forms of military action to protect civilians from attacks by forces loyal to Gaddafi. (Reporting by Louis Charbonneau; Editing by Todd Eastham)
