Moody's cuts Malta's ratings to A2
NEW YORK, Sept 6 |
NEW YORK, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Moody's Investors Service on Tuesday downgraded Malta's credit rating to A2 and said the credit outlook for the island country is negative.
Moody's lowered its foreign currency and local currency ratings to A2 from A1, saying Malta's growth is expected to slow in the medium term, making it more vulnerable to "further economic shocks" following the 2008-09 financial crisis.
