WELLINGTON, March 14 (Reuters) - New Zealand limped to lunch on 11 for two after losing openers Matthew Bell and Jamie How shortly after bowling England out for 342 on the second day of the second test on Friday.

England wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose completed his maiden test century in the first session but failed to push on as his side lost five wickets for 51 runs.

New Zealand's reply did not start well, with Bell bowled for a duck by a perfect inswinging delivery from James Anderson that seamed away and took off stump.

How was then caught in the slips by Andrew Strauss off another swinging delivery from Anderson for seven to leave New Zealand in trouble at the break.

Stephen Fleming (three) and Mathew Sinclair (0) were the not out batsmen, with Anderson having figures of two wickets for three runs.

England had resumed on 291 for five but after Ambrose was dismissed for 102 and Paul Collingwood was trapped in front for 65, their tail collapsed.

Jacob Oram was the pick of New Zealand's bowlers with three for 46 off 29 overs, while Mark Gillespie cleaned up the tail and finished with four for 79.  Continued...
