UPDATE 1-Golf-Holmes beats Mickelson to win Phoenix Open

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona, Feb 3 (Reuters) - J.B Holmes beat Phil Mickelson in a playoff on Sunday to win the Phoenix Open in thrilling fashion.

Holmes, whose only other PGA Tour win came here two years ago, birdied the 18th to take the game into a playoff and then birdied it again in the playoff for victory. (Reporting by Simon Evans in Miami, editing by Justin Palmer)
