LONDON, March 26 (Reuters) - Sports news in brief from around the world:

* AC Milan' Brazilian striker Ronaldo said that he has walked without crutches for the first time since February's surgery on a career-threatening knee injury and is recovering well.

"I'm really happy with the way things are going and the fact that I am no longer in pain," the three-times World Player of the Year said on his Web site (www.ronaldo.com).

* Ferrari's Brazilian driver Felipe Massa said he will bounce back after failing to pick up points in the first two Formula One Grands Prix of the season.

"It hasn't been the start to the season I would have wanted, with the mechanical problems I had in Melbourne and coming off the track in Sepang," Massa told La Gazzetta dello Sport's Web site (www.gazzetta.it) "In the next races I expect to make up all the points I lost in the two Grands Prix."

* Guillermo Hoyos has been sacked as coach of Atromitos Athens, the Greek Super League club said.
