British Energy stops Hunterston-B reactor
LONDON, Feb 3 (Reuters) - British Energy shut one of the two reactors at its Hunterston B nuclear power station on Friday evening for planned boiler inspections, a spokeswoman for the company said.
The company said in November that it would shut the two reactors at the plant in Scotland for checks after problems with the boilers kept the plant closed from late 2006 until it restarted them in spring last year.
The spokeswoman did not say how long the stoppage would last. (Reporting by Daniel Fineren; Editing by Diane Craft) (Daniel.fineren@reuters.com)
as previously disclosed to the market at the half-year results on 13 November.
