DELOITTE FINANCIAL ADVISORY SERVICES LLO

The advisory services firm named William J. Fasel as director in its Chicago-based reorganization services group. Previously, Fasel was a managing director at several turnaround consulting firms.

AXA EQUITABLE LIFE INSURANCE CO

The primary U.S. life insurance and savings unit of AXA Group (AXAF.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) named Chris Winans to the newly created post of head of external affairs, effective July 29 subject to board approval. Prior to his appointment, Winans was vice president of media relations at insurance company American International Group Inc (AIG.N: Quote, Profile, Research).

TIAA-CREF

The pension fund giant announced the appointment of Bertram Scott as executive vice president and chief institutional development and sales officer. He joined TIAA-CREF in 2000 and most recently was executive vice president of strategy, integration and policy.
