MSCI Barra sets index changes for May 30
NEW YORK, May 6 (Reuters) - Index provider MSCI Barra on Tuesday announced changes to its indexes that will take effect at the close of trade on May 30.
Under the changes, there will be 86 securities added to the MSCI Provisional Global Standard Indices, while 82 securities will be deleted.
The largest additions to the MSCI World Index .MIWD00000PUS are Berkshire Hathaway's (BRKb.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Class B shares (United States), Cairn Energy (CNE.L: Quote, Profile, Research) (Great Britain), and AK Steel Holding Corp (AKS.N: Quote, Profile, Research) (United States).
The largest additions to the MSCI Emerging Market Index .MSCIEF are Uralkali (URKA.MM: Quote, Profile, Research) (Russia), Grupo Financial Inbursa INBURSAA.MX (Mexico), and Bosideng International Holdings (3998.HK: Quote, Profile, Research) (China).
MSCI Barra said 681 securities will be added to and 226 securities will be deleted from the MSCI Global Small Cap Indices. Overall, there will be 661 additions to and 202 deletions from the MSCI Global Investable Market Indices. (Reporting by Ellis Mnyandu; Editing by Leslie Adler)
