Before the Bell-Bank of America, Chevron rise on DJIA news

NEW YORK, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Shares of Bank of America Corp (BAC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) jumped 3 percent to $43.30 before the bell on Monday after Dow Jones & Co said the No. 1 U.S. bank by market value would be added to its blue-chip 30-stock Dow Jones industrial average. Under the change, which takes effect on Feb. 19, shares of oil company Chevron Corp (CVX.N: Quote, Profile, Research) will also be added to the gauge, while those of Altria Group Inc (MO.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and Honeywell International Inc (HON.N: Quote, Profile, Research) will be dropped.

Chevron shares rose 2.2 percent to $81 before the bell. Shares of Altria, parent of cigarette maker Phillip Morris, declined 1.4 percent to $72.03. Shares of Honeywell, a diversified manufacturer, slipped 1.6 percent to $56.95. (Reporting by Ellis Mnyandu, Editing by Kenneth Barry)
