Aegis Media Americas says CEO Verklin stepping down
NEW YORK, April 21 (Reuters) - Aegis Media Americas, which includes a group of media buying and communications agencies, said on Monday that David Verklin would step down as chief executive, part of a broader restructuring of the media company.
Aegis Media Americas, a unit of British media buyer Aegis(AEGS.L: Quote, Profile, Research), said Verklin would be succeeded by Sarah Fay, who is currently the chief executive of its Carat media buying agency.
Fay takes over effective immediately, although Verklin will remain with Aegis for a number of months. Fay joined Aegis Media in 1998 and was appointed chief executive of Carat in 2007.
Aegis Media Americas, with revenue of about $300 million last year, includes agencies Carat, Vizeum, Isobar, Posterscope and Velocity. (Reporting by Paul Thomasch)
