BP Texas City power snag not affecting ops -sources
HOUSTON, March 21 (Reuters) - A power system compressor upset overnight at BP Plc's (BP.L: Quote, Profile, Research) 460,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Texas City, Texas, refinery had no affect on operations or the ramping up of 225,000 bpd sour crude processing unit to full output, sources said on Friday.
The Power Station No.2 compressor was shut after it began receiving too much liquid on Thursday night, according to a notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The problem was corrected by early Friday morning.
A BP spokesman declined to discuss refinery operations.
BP plans to returns the sour crude processing unit to full output by the end of March. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
