SYDNEY, April 23 (Reuters) - BHP Billiton Ltd/Plc (BHP.AX: Quote, Profile, Research)(BLT.L: Quote, Profile, Research) reported an 8 percent fall in third quarter copper production due to lower ore grades at its Escondida mine in Chile.
Iron ore output rose 22 percent and aluminium fell 4 percent over the quarter against the previous corresponding period, it said. (Reporting by James Regan)
