Briefs 3-Santini turns down Tunisia coaching offer

Soccer - Former France coach Jacques Santini has turned down an offer from Tunisia, leaving the country without a coach just weeks before they begin their 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign, the Tunisian Football Federation said on Friday.

Santini failed to agree financial terms and also had a demand to be able to bring a French assistant with him turned down, the Federation said.

Roger Lemerre, who steered Tunisia to the African Nations Cup title in 2004, is leaving to start a new job as coach of north African rivals Morocco on July 1.

Motorcycling - Spanish MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo, who fractured both ankles in China two weeks ago, crashed again in practice for Sunday's French Grand Prix at Le Mans.

The 21-year-old, second in the overall standings, limped away unhurt but was taken back to the Yamaha garage on a stretcher due to his sore ankles. Compatriot and championship leader Dani Pedrosa was fastest for Honda in both sessions.
