Spain's Granollers-Pujol wins U.S. Clay Court title
HOUSTON, April 20 (Reuters) - Spain's Marcel Granollers-Pujol upset top seeded American James Blake 6-4 1-6 7-5 on Sunday to capture the U.S. men's clay court championship in his first ATP victory.
Granollers-Pujol, ranked 84th in the world and seeded seventh, trailed 0-3 in the last set but fought back to defeat Blake, the world number eight.
The 22-year-old Spaniard's previous highest finish in an ATP tournament came earlier this season when he reached the quarter-finals in Acapulco. (Reporting by Jeff Franks; Editing by John Mehaffey)
