LISBON, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Two goals in the last 10 minutes gave Vitoria Guimaraes a 2-1 home win over Leixoes and lifted them up to third place in the Portuguese Premier League on Sunday.

Guimaraes leapfrogged Sporting who were beaten 1-0 at Belenenses.

Porto top the standings with 44 points from 18 matches after a 4-0 win over Uniao Leiria on Saturday. Benfica follow on 34 with Guimaraes on 31 and Sporting on 30.

Midfielder Jorge Goncalves put Leixoes in front after a cross by Brazilian winger Andrezinho after 14 minutes.

Guimaraes levelled on 80 minutes when Brazilian debutant Marqinho tapped in a cross from Ghilas.

His compatriot Roberto hit the winner three minutes from time following a goalmouth scramble.

Belenenses overcame Sporting with the only goal coming from midfielder Jose Pedro who scored with a 20-metre drive after 38 minutes. (Reporting by Carlos Pontes; editing by Justin Palmer)
