Soccer-Olympiakos go two points clear in Super League

ATHENS, March 15 (Reuters) - Olympiakos Piraeus beat Atromitos Athens 2-0 thanks to second half goals on Saturday to move two points clear at the top of the Super League.

Slovenian midfielder Mirnes Sisic opened the scoring four minutes into the second half when he got on the end of a cross from Predrag Djordjevic and fired in from close range.

Julio Cesar scored the second five minutes from time when he scuffed home another cross from the right-hand side.

The win gives Olympiakos 58 points from 25 games, two ahead of Panathinaikos who will reclaim top spot if they win at Xanthi on Sunday.

AEK Athens, still in the title race on 52 points, host Aris, who trail in fourth spot with 41 points, on Sunday.

Fifth-placed Asteras Tripolis improved their chances of qualifying for the end of season playoffs to decide who will take Greece's second Champions League place.

The Peloponnese club got their first win in 10 games when Argentine striker Mauro Milano struck in the fourth minute of added time against PAOK in Thessaloniki.

There was also some cheer for Ergotelis who climbed off the foot of the table for first time since round seven with a 2-0 home win over fellow strugglers Veria.  Continued...
