PepsiCo ups dividend, votes down holder proposals
NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. food and drink maker PepsiCo Inc (PEP.N: Quote, Profile, Research) raised its annual dividend by 13 percent on Wednesday to $1.70 and voted down five shareholder proposals.
PepsiCo said it will pay a quarterly dividend of 42.5 cents per share on June 30 to shareholders of record as of June 6.
The maker of Frito-Lay snacks and sports drink Gatorade also had its annual meeting, where shareholder proposals regarding recycling, the use of genetically modified food, executive compensation, global warming and access to clean water were not approved.
PepsiCo shares were down 12 cents at $68.44 on the New York Stock Exchange.
